Queen Elizabeth’s entire staff called to ‘highly unusual’ emergency meeting at Buckingham Palace



Servants will reportedly be addressed by the Royal Household’s most senior officer Lord Cha

The meeting, cmberlain and Her Majesty’s Private Secretary Sir Christopher Geidt in just hours.alled suddenly and described as ‘highly unusual’, has sent Britain’s rumour mill and social media into a concerned frenzy that bad news is imminent.


However royal watchers say the announcement isn’t to do with a death. More details are expected early evening Australian time.


There was mounting speculation that the announcement related to either the Queen’s health or that of her husband, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Social media erupted in panic as word of the large-scale meeting spread, with many offering theories about the announcement, from abdication to far more serious issues.

The Mirror reports that even the most trusted of staff were left in the dark as to what the meeting will be about.

But a growing number of royal reporters in the UK say they’ve been told there’s no cause for alarm.

Armed youths kill scores in Akwa Ibom/Cross River boundary attacks

Fresh trouble erupted again on Saturday as armed youths, from Ikot Offiong in Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State, reportedly killed scores of fishermen during another attack of Ikot Ada Akpan Community in Oku-Iboku, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday. Dr. Demson Ekong, an indigene of the area said that, the attackers came in six speed boats from Ikot Offiong in Cross River and opened fire on the fishermen. Though, the death figure could not be ascertain at the time of filling this report but, the source said, “Some fishermen have been killed as the actual number of casualties are yet to be determined. “There is a serious attack on Oku-Iboku this morning.
