Following Mercy Aigbe’s recent separation from her husband, Lanre Gentry, as a result of prolonged domestic violence, former Chocolate City female rapper, Pryse, has openly condemned the act. In a recent interview


, the fast budding rapper advised women to resist any form of violence from their partners to avoid becoming a victim. In her opinion, violence in any relationship is unhealthy; therefore she would never allow any man raise a finger at her. Singer, Pryse “I feel any woman that is being abused by a man should not be with that man. I believe she should leave, I think she should just leave; because if he does that, he is probably going to keep doing it, let him not kill you one day”, she advised. She stressed that nothing will make her endure constant pummeling from a man in the name of love. She said; “I’m not going to judge or say anything about anybody that is in that kind of situation because we can’t judge, we don’t know what’s going on, but I wouldn’t stay. I’m not saying I will do anything to him, who knows, but I certainly would not stay.”

Armed youths kill scores in Akwa Ibom/Cross River boundary attacks

Fresh trouble erupted again on Saturday as armed youths, from Ikot Offiong in Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State, reportedly killed scores of fishermen during another attack of Ikot Ada Akpan Community in Oku-Iboku, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday. Dr. Demson Ekong, an indigene of the area said that, the attackers came in six speed boats from Ikot Offiong in Cross River and opened fire on the fishermen. Though, the death figure could not be ascertain at the time of filling this report but, the source said, “Some fishermen have been killed as the actual number of casualties are yet to be determined. “There is a serious attack on Oku-Iboku this morning. Since his return to the Nigerian music scene, veteran reggae maestro, Majek Fashek, has been on a conscious mission to once again stamp his feet on the music space, reclaiming his throne as the only musician in the world who can draw rain with his music fic. In a recent interview with HIPTV, the rain maker, as he is fondly called, claimed there is a cut clear difference between the quality of sound and music he makes and that of young artistes.
