AKEREDOLU HAS UNVEILED A SECURITY SURVEILLANCE APP

 The Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has unveiled a security surveillance app during the passing out parade of Course 3 and 4 Amotekun Corps in Ondo State. Akeredolu, in a statement made available to The Bountifullink on Thursday, said that millions of cellphones would be converted into state security cameras with the security monitoring app, which would aid citizens in reporting bad or poor services in government, institutions, or facilities. ‘‘The Ondo State Security Network Agency, code-named Amotekun Corps, will be armed in accordance with the law since, in the absence of such, the training would be insufficient and the lives of great patriots will be in danger and the ground-breaking platform will make sure that Ondo State’s citizens and natives actually become their brothers’ guardians.’’ He also said the passing out ceremony served as a reminder of the need to develop a plan of action and deal with the current security situation, which he claimed had been allowed to

Kenyan President William Ruto on Tuesday named his first cabinet after winning a divisive election in August and defending his narrow victory in the country’s highest court. Ruto, who defeated his opponent Raila Odinga by some 200,000 votes, unveiled his new administration after calling the 26 ministers and cabinet-level appointees to a meeting at State House. Among those appointed were political allies whose support helped ensure Ruto, who served as deputy president in the former government, took the top job after an acrimonious campaign.
